Half-Marathon?

For someone who has hated all things sportive most of her life, this might look like a strange page.

Well, well, this is my new target.  I’m going to try to run a half-marathon in February….that’s in 5 months time.

I’ve continued my boxercise classes with a regular attendance of 2/3 times a week and I feel I can look at having a new target to reach.  I intend to continue attending these classes.  They are great for fitness and for the general feel good factor they’ve given me.  Add to this the fact that I feel I have more energy and more strength and maybe you can start to understand my obsesession as these classes have clearly become.  On top add the fact that I now weigh 62kg, a weight I had forgotten I had ever had before and the picture is complete.

The idea of the marathon came to me some time ago.  My motivations vary from day to day.  But I think my main one is that I’d like to attempt it.  This kind of activity might be the only one I can kind of compete in.  So I’ve decided to give it a go.  I’m using Brad at Marathon Rookie as a guide.  Hope to manage to keep this space updated on my progress.
